About
Mark L. Mazow, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained oculoplastic surgeon serving patients throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. A proud member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASOPRS), Dr. Mazow has dedicated his career to the highly specialized intersection of ophthalmology and plastic surgery — a discipline that demands mastery of both the functional and aesthetic dimensions of the eye, eyelid, orbit, and lacrimal system. Dr. Mazow's academic path reflects an unwavering commitment to excellence. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Rice University in Houston, Texas, before completing medical school at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston (McGovern Medical School). He completed a transitional internship at St. Joseph's Hospital in Houston, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He then pursued advanced subspecialty training through a fellowship in Ocular Oncology and Pathology at Barnes and Jewish Hospital, Washington University Medical School, in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Mazow serves as Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where he has been actively involved in training ophthalmology residents and oculoplastic fellows since 1990. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications and serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Mazow offers a comprehensive range of surgical and non-surgical services addressing conditions of the eyelids, orbit, and lacrimal (tear duct) system. His surgical expertise includes cosmetic eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), brow lifting, ptosis repair, and facial rejuvenation, as well as non-surgical treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers. He has particular depth of experience in eyelid and orbital tumors, facial skin cancers with Mohs reconstruction, Thyroid Eye Disease, and pediatric disorders of the eyelids and lacrimal system. Dr. Mazow works closely with the Pediatric Oncology and Pediatric Endocrinology teams at Medical City Children's Hospital in Dallas.
